
Mandy Emmaline Bowling, 83, of Mansfield, died Sunday, June 14, 2009, at Mifflin Care Center. Emmaline was born in Johnson County, Kentucky, on July 24, 1925, to Jerry and Mae Hall. She married Ray Bowling on February 26, 1944. They lived in Iaeger, West Virginia and moved to Ohio in 1968 to build a better life for their family. Emmaline attended Diamond Hills Baptist Church where she made many friends. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and friend to many. She enjoyed cooking big meals just to get the family all together. She and Ray always raised a garden and she enjoyed canning and sharing their bounty with everyone.
She is survived by five sons and daughters-in-law, Raymond and Sharon Bowling of Shelby, Roy and Gayle Bowling of Mansfield, Ralph and Kathy Bowling of Fremont, Troy and Charity Bowling and John and Ann Bowling, all of Mansfield; one daughter, Maxine Radabaugh of Mansfield; one sister and brother-in-law, Jenny and Posey Lester; six grandchildren, Sharon Kay Adams and Beverly Whaley, both of Shelby, Kathy Webb of Kentucky, Kenny Radabaugh and Barbra Radabaugh, both of Mansfield, and Frankie Crank of Hamilton County; six great-grandchildren, Michael, Jeffery, Tony and Billy Ray Webb of Kentucky and Ashlee and Abby Adams of Shelby; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; her loving husband, Ray; three sons, Butch, James and Billy Ray Bowling; three grandsons, Troy Ray Bowling, Ralph Randall Bowling and Will Whaley; eight brothers; and one sister.
Friends may visit from 5 to 8 p.m., Wednesday, June 17, 2009, at Diamond Hills Baptist Church, 647 S. Diamond St., Mansfield, Ohio 44907. Funeral services will be Thursday at 10:30 a.m. in the church with Pastor Christopher Thomas officiating. Burial will follow in Mansfield Cemetery. Contributions in Emmaline's memory may be made to Diamond Hills Baptist Church. The Diamond Street Home of Wappner Funeral Directors is privileged to serve the family of Mrs. Bowling.
