Margaret L. Merkle, 86, of Mansfield, died Wednesday afternoon, April 6, 2005, at Crystal Care Center in Mansfield. Born November 2, 1918, in Buchtel, Ohio, she was the daughter of August and Annie Rogers Fiddler. She retired from Essex Wire and enjoyed watching TV, especially sports. Margaret attended Community Baptist Bible Church.
She is survived by three grandchildren, Gloria Martin, Melinda Cartwright and Eric Merkle, all of Mansfield; two great-grandchildren, Emily and Timmy; and a niece and her husband, Betty and Clint Hardin of Mansfield. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Carl Merkle; son, Roger Carl Merkle of Mansfield; three brothers; and three sisters.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, April 9 at 1:00 p.m. at the Ontario home of Wappner Funeral Directors, conducted by Pastor Mel Hobson. Friends may call at the funeral home from 12-1 p.m. Saturday. Burial will follow in Mansfield Memorial Park.
