Maria emigrated to the United States in 1965. She worked for many years as a billing clerk for MedCentral Hospital and at Ashland University in the dining hall. She enjoyed collecting many unique items over the years. Family oriented, she enjoyed each moment spent in the presence of her children and grandchildren. She loved animals and had a special place in her heart for strays.
She is survived by two children, Eric (JoAnna) Myers and Chantal (Adam) Sellers; and a grandson, Michael Myers. Maria was preceded in death by her parents; granddaughter, Katelynn Myers; and brother, John Soroka.
A graveside service will be held Saturday, October 7, 2017, at 11:00 a.m. in Mansfield Memorial Park, 2507 Park Avenue West, Mansfield. Contributions honoring Maria's love of animals may be made to S.T.O.P., 1152 Lexington Avenue, Mansfield, Ohio, 44907.
