Mark was a veteran of the United States Marines and was employed with Ceva Logistics as a truck driver traveling across the United States. He was a member of the Church of Christ. Growing up, his family referred to him as "Rebel" because he was the ornery one in the family. He was a little feisty but also kind hearted and would lend a helping hand for anyone who needed one. He was honest, hard working and a good conversationalist who loved picking on his nieces to see what kind of reaction he would get ~ he had a heart made for kids. He enjoyed fishing and hunting and golf and was a traveler from a young age.
He is survived by his wife of 29 years, Juanita (Nolasco) Carper; his sons, Mark Carper and Tim (Paula) Carper; his grandchildren; his brothers, Mike Carper and Johnny (Jeannie) Carper; his sisters, Wanda Van Horn, Opal Stevens, Kathleen (Ken) Haering and Beverly Wade; and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his grandparents, Albert and Annie Carper and Charles and Merle Kiser; his brothers-in-law, Steve Van Horn and Robert Stevens; and his inlaws.
