
Marshall F. Moore, 85, of Mansfield died at home Friday morning, December 5, 2003 after an extended illness. Mr. Moore was born October 23, 1918 in Radnor, West Virginia living in the Mansfield area the past 50 years. He retired from Empire-Detroit Steel in 1982 after 28 years. He attended Trimble Road Baptist Bible Church and was a member of Vinson Lodge #66 F & AM in Ft. Gay, West Virginia for over 50 years. Marshall was an outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting, fishing, gardening and beekeeping. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army serving in Germany and France during World War II.
He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Jewel Rice Moore; three daughters and two sons-in-law, Eileen Christus, Marsha & Gary Abrams and Sandy & Pastor John Wiseman, all of Mansfield; four grandchildren, Mark Abrams, Matthew Christus, Amy Christus, and Dina Price and her husband, Jason; great-grandchildren, Brittany and Brooklyn Abrams, Ashlyn and Clayton Price and Kaleb Christus; three sisters, Marcella Early of Huntington, West Virginia, Brookie Warren of Federal Way, Washington and Rhoda Moore of Proctorville, Ohio; a brother John C. Moore of Shelby, Ohio; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, W. Clinton & Carrie Belle Porter Moore; a grandson, Jason Abrams; a son-in-law, Nick Christus; a brother, Charlie Moore; a sister, Ruby Warren; and an infant brother and sister.
Friends may call at the Ontario Home of Wappner Funeral Directors Sunday from 2-5 p.m. where Masonic services will be held at 5:00 and at Trimble Road Baptist Bible Church one hour prior to funeral services to be held Monday at 1:00 p.m. conducted by Pastor John Wiseman and Jason Price. Military services will be held in Caesarea Cemetery.
