Martha McMullen

Martha M. McMullen, 81, of Ashland, died Saturday, May 22, 2010, at Hospice House in Ashland following a short illness. Born February 22, 1929, in Delphos, Ohio, she was the daughter of Don C. and Florence Shuck Ford and was raised by Jerry and Hattie Sykes. Mrs. McMullen had an instrumental part of founding Ohio Electric Control, Inc. located in Ashland.

Surviving are two daughters and sons-in-law, Debbie and Mike Blubaugh of Galion, OH and Becky and John Frawley of Ravenna, OH; two sons and daughters-in-law, Bob and Vicki McMullen of Ashland and Jim and Brenda Filak of Polk, OH; 12 grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Jack W. McMullen on February 18, 2002; her parents; one sister, Helen Clinger; and two brothers, Arnold and Don Ford.

Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, May 26, 2010, at the Ashland Home of Wappner Funeral Directors, 308 Claremont Avenue, Ashland, OH conducted by Pastor Virginia Pfleuger. Friends may call from 4:00-8:00 p.m. Tuesday, May 25, 2010, at the funeral home, and also one hour prior to the services at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of North Central Ohio, 1050 Dauch Drive, Ashland, OH 44805 or to the charity of the donor's choice.
