Martha Wald Misamore, 94, formerly of Mansfield, died Thursday, February 19, 2009 at Lake Placid Health Care Center. Born August 1, 1914 in Mansfield, she was the daughter of Phillip and Barbara Fetter Wald. She had been employed at Richland Hospital as Director of Housekeeping Services for 30 years, retiring in 1982. Martha attended the First Alliance Church on Cook Road.
Surviving are one son, Roger Misamore of Lake Placid, Florida; two granddaughters, Donna Hock, and Mary and Jim Magers; one grandson, Shawn Misamore; six great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; one sister, Caroline "Connie" Murphy; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Donald E. Misamore; her parents; two sisters, Christine Donnan and Betty Bernsteil; two brothers, Robert and Fred Wald; and daughter-in-law, Marlene Misamore.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Monday, February 23, 2009 at the Ontario Home of Wappner Funeral Directors, 100 S. Lexington-Springmill Rd., Mansfield. Friends may call from 1 to 2 p.m. Monday at the funeral home. Burial will follow in Mansfield Memorial Park.
