
Martin Weaver, 80, of Ontario, died Friday, August 24, 2007 at MedCentral Mansfield Hospital. Born June 20, 1927 in Crestline, he was the son of Stephen Simon Sebastian and Helen Mae Allwine Weaver. He retired from General Motors as a Payroll Auditor after 30 years of service. Martin was a member of the Knights of Columbus, Disabled American Veterans, and the American Legion. He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy and member of St. Peter's Catholic Church. A good-hearted, generous man, Martin enjoyed spending quality time with his family.
He is survived by his wife of 51 years, Stella 'Peg' Weaver; three daughters, Peggy Lynn Paul Barker of TX, Mary Mark Barker of Lexington, Cathleen Todd Rox of Lucas; one son, John Cami Weaver of Galion; nine grandchildren, David Makala Weaver, Brandi Callahan, Jessica Ross, Tyler Mitchell, Joseph Weaver, Jaime Simmering, Nicole Simmering, Clayton Weaver, Hannah Rox; three great-grandchildren, Morgan Weaver, Emma Ross, Dylan Weaver; father-in-law, Alvin Withem; special nephew and niece, Lonnie Withem and Jennifer Matthew Gillespie; special brother-in-law, Melvin Withem; two sisters-in-law, Doris and Betty Weaver; and a host of nieces and nephews. Preceding him in death were his parents, two brothers, Ferd and Frank Weaver, two sisters, Toni Tidd and Teresa Lyons, his mother-in-law, Mary Withem and special aunt, June Price.
Friends may call Monday, August 27 from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. at the Ontario Home of Wappner Funeral Directors with a Vigil Service at 7:30 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be Tuesday, 10:00 a.m. at St. Peter's Catholic Church. Burial will follow in Mansfield Memorial Park. Memorial contributions may be made to the Maryknoll Missionary Fund.
