Mary Kathryn "Kat" Hall, 67, of Mansfield, passed away Thursday evening, May 3, 2018, at OSU Wexner Medical Center in Columbus, Ohio. She was born May 30, 1950, in Portsmouth, Ohio, to the late Willis and Maxine (Lemaster) Cyrus.
She graduated from Mansfield Senior High School in 1969. Mary worked for many years at Therm-O-Disc. Her family meant everything to her and Mary considered spoiling them her duty. She enjoyed attending her sons' musical performances over the years. Thoughtful and selfless, keeping in touch with her ever growing family was a priority in Mary's life. She enjoyed continuing the tradition of a big family Christmas celebration every year.
In her free time, Mary enjoyed crocheting and made many treasured baby blankets over her lifetime. She also found joy in maintaining her flower gardens. Getting lost in a good romance novel was another favorite pastime. Mary enjoyed traveling, and vacationing at Myrtle Beach was a special treat.
Mary is survived by her husband of 30 years, James Robert "Bob" Hall; four children, Kevin (Amy) Crabtree of Mansfield, Andy (Jodie) Crabtree of Loudonville, Trista (Matt) Vernotzy of West Salem and Melissa Hoffman (Jim Knight) of Ashland; seventeen grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren. She is also survived by two brothers, Charles Cyrus and Rick (Sandy) Cyrus, both of Mansfield; two sisters-in-law, Donna Dreyer and Susan Nagel; numerous nieces and nephews; and several cousins.
A graveside service will be held Saturday, May 19, 2018, at 11:00 a.m. in Oak Grove Memorial Park with Rev. Roger Garrison officiating.
