
Mary Elizabeth Pore, 96, of Mansfield, went home to be with the Lord Sunday, September 6, 2009 after a long illness. She was born February 17, 1913. A graduate of Lucas High School, she was a member of First English Lutheran Church. Mary was an artist and a member of the Brush and Palet Club who exhibited paintings at Kingwood Center and won an artist's contest. She also enjoyed fishing and traveling.
She is survived by sons, Thomas M. Pore of Ontario, and James R. Linda Pore of Millersburg; granddaughter, Heather L. Casciano of Knoxville, Tennessee; great-grandsons, Ray Casciano and Will Casciano, both of Knoxville, Tennessee; nieces, Debbie Allison, Myra Sfakis, Janet Hestermann, and Carol Hardin; and nephews, Jeff Blackledge, John Schoonyan, and Donovan Pore. She was preceded in death by her husband, Raymond H. Pore; sister, Martha Blackledge Gillian; brother, Meade Flenner; mother, Nina Pulver Flenner; and father, Thomas C. Flenner.
Mary will be missed by family and friends and many others whose lives were touched by her. The family would like to give special thanks to caregivers, Hazel Sumpton and Jean Wright whose tireless efforts gave Mary many hours of joy and pleasure. You are both in our prayers. Also a special thanks to Hospice of North Central Ohio.
Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, September 8, 2009 at the Diamond Street Home of Wappner Funeral Directors, 98 S. Diamond Street, Mansfield. Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. at the funeral home conducted by Rev. Cloyd Kress. Burial will follow in Mansfield Memorial Park.
