

Mary Louise "Marylou" Urwin, formerly of Ontario, Ohio age 81 passed away Monday November 6, 2017 at Lakeland Regional Medical Center after complications from surgery. She was born March 7, 1936 in Mansfield, Ohio to Paul and Winifred Herlihy.
Marylou graduated from St. Peter's High School in 1954, and also graduated from Marymount College of Nursing in Illinois. She was the wife of the late Ontario Mayor Bob Urwin. She was an LPN at Peoples Hospital until she decided to stay home and raise her children. She later worked at Denny's Restaurant as a hostess in Ontario where she loved meeting and talking with all the customers that came in. She loved to collect crafts and decorate her house and was an avid book collector. She also loved collecting and doing puzzles. But most of all she loved her children and grandchildren and would do anything for them. She was especially close to her daughter, whom she did everything with and would always say to people "she's my best friend, my life, my everything".
Marylou is survived by her daughter (who she will be missed by dearly) and her devoted and loving son-in-law, Jan and Rodney Smith of Lakeland, Florida (formerly of Ontario, Ohio); her loving son and daughter-in-law, Mike and Elva Urwin of Tennessee, and John of California; many grandchildren; and great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Urwin of 40 years; her son, Steve; her mother and father Paul and Winifred Herlihy; and her brother, Paul Herlihy Jr. all of Mansfield, Ohio.
Calling hours will be on Wednesday, November 15th. from 3:00pm-7:00pm. at the Ontario Home of Wappner Funeral Directors, 100 South Lexington-Springmill Road. No services or burial will take place at this time.
