Matthew Megger

Matthew Hunter Megger, 21 of Mansfield, died unexpectedly Wednesday evening December 1, 2004 at MedCentral/Mansfield Hospital. Born October 18, 1983 in Mansfield, he was the son of Herbert M. and Donna Starcher Megger. He was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church and was employed by Sarca. Matthew graduated from Madison High School in 2002 and attended North Central State College. He enjoyed music, movies, and spending time with friends and family. Matthew also enjoyed hunting, the outdoors and sports. He was loving and sweet and will be sadly missed.

He is survived by his parents, Herbert M. and Donna Megger; one brother, Aaron Tyler Megger of Mansfield; maternal grandparents, Carole and John Noble of Plymouth, and Sheri and Lewis Winbigler of Mansfield; paternal grandparents, Henry J. and Eva M. Megger of Mansfield; maternal great grandmother, Rita Spayde of Mansfield; aunts and uncles, Rainer and Christina Megger of Cleveland, Edgar and Juanita Megger of Plymouth, Eric and Ronda Megger of Columbus, Ronald and Michelle Starcher of South Carolina, Sharon and Mike Barron of Mansfield, and Mike Spayde of Mansfield; and several cousins. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Lawrence Starcher; and maternal great grandmother, Gertrude Starcher.

Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. Friday December 3, 2004 at the Ontario Home of Wappner Funeral Directors where Vigil Services will be held at 7:30 p.m. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday December 4 at the funeral home with Father Michael Zacharias officiating. Burial will follow in Mansfield Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made in care of the family.
