Michael Baumann

Michael Baumann, 78, of Mansfield, died Saturday, July 30, 2011 at his residence. Born August 25, 1932 in Omolica, Yugoslavia, he was the son of Adam and Barbara (Dech) Baumann. He retired from General Motors and was a member of Apostolic Christian Church on Illinois Avenue.

He is survived by his wife of 50+ years, Florina (Betsch) Baumann; two sons, Michael (Lilly) Baumann of Portland, MI and David (Lucy) Baumann of Mansfield; a daughter, Esther Baumann of Mansfield; five grandchildren, Andrea Baumann, Rebecca (Brett) Messner, Anthony Baumann, Nicole Baumann and Calvin Baumann; two sisters, Magdalena (Joseph) Gutai of Mansfield and Barbara (Donald) Mueller of Dublin, OH; a sister-in-law, Marilyn Baumann of Bellville; and a brother-in-law, Larry Labudde of Phoenix, AZ. He was preceded in death by his parents and seven brothers and two sisters.

Friends may call from 2-4 and 5-9 p.m. Monday, August 1, 2011 at the Ontario Home of Wappner Funeral Directors, 100 S. Lexington-Springmill Road, Ontario. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, August 2, 2011 at the Apostolic Christian Church, 84 N. Illinois Avenue, Mansfield, OH 44905. Burial will follow in Mansfield Cemetery.
