

Michael Lee “Mikey” Caltrider, 28, of Mansfield, died Wednesday, February 6, 2013 at MetroHealth Hospital in Cleveland. He was born August 25, 1984 in Shelby and graduated from Madison High School in 2002. He lived most of his life in the Mansfield/Ontario area and had worked at Hi-Stat for over 10 years. Michael attended Diamond Hill Cathedral. A quiet, loving, generous and kind hearted man, he also liked to joke around. Michael liked video games, computers, and music and made beautiful memories for his friends and family with picture videos and digital media. He loved everything basketball~playing video games, watching it on TV, or playing himself when he got a chance. Michael also enjoyed fixing up his new home and watching movies with his wife, Michelle.
He is survived by his wife of seven years who he married on August 5, 2006, Michelle (Cobb) Caltrider of Mansfield; their Yorkie, Twixie; sister, Tammy Caltrider (Jeremy Smith) of Galion; mother, Judy (Stephen) Randall of Ontario; brother-in-law, Isaac Cobb of Mansfield; sisters-in-law, Alisha Cobb of Mansfield, Julie Hartge of Mansfield, and Barbie Borders-Caltrider of Mansfield; mother-in-law and father-in-law, Dave and Cheryl (Wyrick) Cobb of Mansfield; nephews, Ronnie Lee (Nicole) Caltrider III of Missouri, Aaron Caltrider of Mansfield, Dylan Smith of Galion, and Travis Hartge of Mansfield; step nephew, Dakota Smith of Mansfield; great nephews, Donovan Michael Caltrider and Camden Lee; maternal grandpa, Larry Kelser of Ontario; close aunts, Nancy (Norman) Rupe of Ontario and Connie (Rocky) Martin of Columbus; and numerous cousins, including close cousins, Angela Hale and Stephanie Blevins. He was preceded in death by his father, Ron Caltrider, Sr.; brother, Ronnie Caltrider, Jr.; maternal grandmother, Eugenia Kelser; and paternal grandparents, Ernest and Donna Smith.
Friends may call Monday, February 11, 2013 from 2:00-6:00 p.m. at the Diamond St. Home of Wappner Funeral Directors, 98 S. Diamond St., Mansfield. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, February 12, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. at Diamond Hill Cathedral, 500 Tingley Ave., Mansfield. Friends may also call one hour prior to the service from 10:00-11:00 a.m. at the church. Burial will follow in Oak Grove Memorial Park. Flowers and cards are welcome along with memorial contributions made to the family.
