Michael Eberhardt

Michael S. Eberhardt, Sr., 55, of Crestline, died Saturday, May 11, 2013 at The Ohio State University Medical Center in Columbus. Born July 26, 1957 in Mansfield, he was the son of Raymond and Evelyn (Mallette) Eberhardt.

A veteran of the United States Army, he had worked for Service Taxi as a driver and enjoyed being outdoors especially when he was fishing at Mifflin Spillway or camping. He was a fanatic fan of Hank Williams, Sr. and enjoyed watching the Cleveland Browns but his greatest joy was spending time with his family as they thought he was the best Dad and Grandpa in the world.

He is survived by his mother, Evelyn (Mallette) Fritz of Mansfield; a daughter, Angela Jones of Mansfield; a son, Michael S. Eberhardt, Jr. of Mansfield; three step sons, Tim (Nicole) Perkins of Mansfield, Billy Bigler of Ashland and Ricky Bigler of Mansfield; 12 grandchildren; five brothers, Tim Eberhardt of Houston, TX, Darrell Eberhadt of Elyria, OH, Keith Eberhardt of Florida, Scott Eberhardt of Florida and Richard Fritz of Mansfield; two sisters, Dee Dee Kilgore of Crestline and Rhonda Swartz of Mansfield; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his father.

Memorial services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, May 18, 2013 at the Diamond Street Home of Wappner Funeral Directors, 98 S. Diamond Street, Mansfield. Military honors presented by the Richland County Joint Veterans Burial Detail will be held at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the family.
