
He was born January 14, 1947, in Mansfield, Ohio to the late Murla E. (Walton) and William C. Link. He was a 1965 graduate of Malabar High School. Mike spent most of his career in project management and sales. His career allowed him to travel and live all over the United States and throughout the world. He later returned to his hometown area to enjoy retirement.
Mike was a man of great integrity and was always willing to help others. He had a wonderful disposition and sense of humor. He was very proud of his service time in the U.S. Army and remained a proud supporter of our military. Mike had many hobbies. No matter what he was getting into, he wanted to have fun doing it. Most importantly, he enjoyed living his life and doing it on his own terms. Mike will be missed greatly by those who knew him.
He is survived by a nephew, Jeffrey Link of Millersburg; niece, Jennifer (Herbert) Harkness of Lexington; and two great nephews, Anthony and Alexander Harkness.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by four brothers, Curtis, Harvey, William R., and Gerald P. Link; and two nephews, Gerald D. and Jason Link.
In accordance with Mike's wishes, there will be no public services. Following cremation, Mike will be laid to rest at The Western Reserve National (Military) Cemetery in Seville, Ohio. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Wounded Warrior Project. The Diamond Street Home of Wappner Funeral Directors is privileged to serve the family.
