
Michael David Thacker, age 47, of 495 Parry Avenue, died unexpectedly in Mt. Gilead, Ohio. He was born September 23, 1952 in Vanceburg, Kentucky and has lived here most of his life. He was a roofer for Thomas and Thomas and attended the Church of Christ in Christian Union. He was a veteran of the U. S. Army.
Surviving are his parents, Beatrice and Rev. Ernest Thacker of Mansfield; a son, David Michael Thacker of Mansfield; three sisters and brothers-in-law, Kaye and Larry Frazier of Lenoir City, Tenn., Lois and Darrell Bellomy of Mesa, Arizona, and Diane and John Bevan of Bewdley, England; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Ernest, Jr. and Shiela Thacker of Johnson City, Tenn., and Myron and Diane Thacker of Crestline, Ohio, a special friend, Claire Kissel of Mansfield and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by one brother, Roger Thacker and his grandparents, Reuben and Laura Bloomfield and Edgar and Rose Thacker, and step grandmother, Grandma ''Wag'' Thacker.
Friends may call at the Ontario Home of Wappner Funeral Directors on Wednesday, May 3, 2000 from 6-9 p.m. Funeral services will be at the funeral home on Thursday, May 4, 2000 at 10:30 a.m., conducted by Rev. Bruce Morrison and Dr. Keith Grove. Military graveside services will follow in Oak Grove Memorial Park conducted by the Richland County Joint Veterans Council Burial Detail. Memorial contributions may be made to the family.
