Michelle Renee Black (Epps) 49 of Butler, Ohio passed away at Riverside Methodist Hospital on February 5, 2025, surrounded by loved ones. Michelle was born August 8, 1975, to Charles Black and Charlotte Thompson (Pack) in Mount Vernon, Ohio.
Michelle worked at Ryan’s Steakhouse alongside her mother for many years, before transitioning to the medical field where she was a STNA for over 20 years, spending the last several years working at Country View Nursing Home.
Michelle was the life of every party – always ready to dance, laugh and have a good time. In recent years she enjoyed a cross-country trip with her brother, Chad, sister-in-law, Lisa, and long-time boyfriend, Khai.
Michelle’s greatest accomplishments in life were her three children and nine grandchildren: Devon Black (Jenna) and their children Addyson, Jeremiah and Isabella; Anthony Epps (Judy) and their son Mathew; Mackenzie Epps and her children Allyson, Brantlee, Cadence, Daisey'mae and Endersynne.
Michelle is preceded in death by her father, Charles Black and stepfather who raised her, Herbie Pack.
In addition to her children and grandchildren, Michelle is survived by her mother Charlotte Pack (Harold), significant other, Khai, brothers Chad Black (Lisa); Trent Black (Lisa); stepsister Regina Brokaw (Mark), stepbrother Herbert Pack (Dawn), stepson Monnie Hughes, nieces Samantha Blanton (Billy); Amber Blanton (David); Courtney Rhees (Devin); Ashley Black, and Brooklyn Black, as well as numerous extended family members and beloved friends.
A memorial service is being held at Bunkerhill Baptist Church 3340 OH-97 Butler, OH 44822 on Saturday, February 15, 2025, with calling hours from 12-2:00 pm and service to immediately follow, including a celebration of life dinner. Pastor Tom Crank will officiate.
