
Nancy Diane Gibson, 62, of Mansfield, died Sunday morning, June 15, 2008, at her home. Born April 25, 1946, in Buffalo, West Virginia, she was the daughter of the late Winifred and Mamie Legg Weaver. Nancy retired after 30 years from Thermo-Disc where she worked as a press operator. Nancy attended First Assembly Church of God. She loved being with and taking care of her grandchildren and family. Traveling was a source of great fun, especially her trip to Costa Rica with her son. She would volunteer her time, money, and efforts for just about every cause in her area. She was a collector and a seasoned shopper. Her gardens and flowers are left behind for her family in love and memory.
She is survived by her husband of 43 years, Johnny Gibson, Sr: two daughters, Patricia Pat Maurer and Teresa Michael Noe, both of Mansfield; one son Johnny Gibson, Jr John Stiefel of Shelby; four grandchildren, Michael, Brittany, Felicia, and Isaac; one brother, Freddy Weaver of Buffalo, West Virginia; a host of nieces and nephews as well as many dear relatives in West Virginia. Preceding her in death were her parents, a brother, Richard Weaver and sister-in-law, Marie Gibson.
Friends may call from 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m., Wednesday, June 18, 2008, at the Diamond Street Home of Wappner Funeral Directors. Funeral Services will be held Thursday at 10:30 a.m. at First Assembly Church of God, officiated by Pastor Thomas Blair. Burial will follow in Mansfield Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of North Central Ohio.
