Nancy Hamilton

Nancy J. Hamilton, 65, of Mansfield died Friday night, October 3, 2003 at MedCentral Mansfield Hospital following an extended illness. Mrs. Hamilton was born January 3, 1938 in Mansfield residing in the area all of her life. She retired from Hartman Electric in 1999 after 32 years of service and attended Dean Road Freewill Baptist Church. Nancy was a loving and caring wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother; she was a very brave and strong woman, and fought many battles in her last year of life. Her family and friends will sadly miss her.

Surviving are her husband of 49 years, Vernon Hamilton; three daughters, Bonnie Butler of Mansfield; Becky Maloney of Naples, Florida; and Teresa Bodenbach of Simpsonville, South Carolina; seven grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, Cecil and Larena McGee Bunn; beloved son, Robert Wayne Hamilton; one sister, Roberta Green; and three brothers, Jack, Cecil Jr., and Tommy Bunn.

Friends may call at the Diamond Street Home of Wappner Funeral Directors on Tuesday, October 7, 2003 from 2-4 & 6-8 p.m. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday at 10:30 a.m. at the funeral home conducted by Pastor Herman Copley. Burial will be in Mansfield Cemetery.
