
Nedim M. 'Dino' Totolaku, 84, of Mt. Vernon, died Saturday, July 17, 2010 at his home with several family members at his side. Born December 10, 1925 he was the son of Mefal and Fernidone Totolaku. He was a resident of Ohio for the past 55 years. Dino was a member of the Albanian Islamic Center in Detroit, Michigan. He was the owner and operator of five taverns throughout Knox County. He leaves behind his loyal companion of eight years, Susie, his poodle.
He is survived by his son, Njazi Totolaku of Albania; stepchildren, Ella Jean Major Bowles, John Helen Sherrill, Connie Tom Willis, Jenny Earl Bacon, Jerry Dixie Sherrill, Rose Sawer, Mike Delane and Danny Sherry Delane; a grandson in Albania; step grandchildren, Lynn Wyatt Price, Glen Missy Price, Cindy Dave Wait, Bob Tammy Sherrill, Johnny Sherrill and Angie Masters; several step great-grandchildren; niece, Ferzilet Taip Saciri; numerous cousins in Mount Vernon; and several friends. He was preceded in death by his wife of 52 years, Dorothy L. Totolaku; first wife in Albania; and a daughter in Albania.
Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m. Thursday, July 22, 2010 at the Diamond Street Home of Wappner Funeral Directors, 98 S. Diamond St., Mansfield. Friends may visit from 9:30 a.m. until the time of the service. Burial will be in Mansfield Cemetery. The family wishes to express their gratitude to Hospice of Central Ohio for the excellent care given to Dino.
