Nikkie Vance

Nikkie Vance, 43, of Mansfield, died unexpectedly Thursday, January 30, 2014. Born August 20, 1970 in Mansfield, she was the daughter of Marion Albert Woodruff, Jr. and Billie Louise (Kristoff) Woodruff. She was a 1989 graduate of Malabar High School and a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles. A homemaker, she was a loving mother, providing for her family following the death of her husband in 2011. She enjoyed spending time with her children taking vacations, bowling and anything else they could do together. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends.

She is survived by a daughter, Haley Vance (Brett Pool); two sons, George A. Vance, IV and Garret Vance; her mother, Billie L. Woodruff; two brothers, Marion "John" Woodruff and Rory Woodruff; a sister, Sherry (Tony) Meckes; and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her husband, George A. Vance, III; her father, Marion Albert "Woody" Woodruff, Jr.; her in laws, George A. Vance, Jr and Ella Mae Vance; and an aunt, Mary Francis Rush.

Friends may call from 5-8 p.m. Tuesday, February 4, 2014 at the Diamond Street Home of Wappner Funeral Directors, 98 S. Diamond Street, Mansfield. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, February 5, 2014 at the funeral home conducted by Pastor Joe Woodyard. Burial will follow in Mansfield Cemetery.
