

Nina J. Garrison, 83, of Mansfield, died early Sunday morning, December 5, 2004, at MedCentral Mansfield Hospital after a short illness. Born May 16, 1921, in Mansfield, she was the daughter of the late Martin and Anna Schuster Wynn. Nina had been a member of the Salvation Army, Episcopal Church and most recently was attending Crossroads Community Church. Prior to her marriage to James E. 'Eddie' Garrison, she was employed at North American Knitting Company and during WWII, she worked at Westinghouse. Nina was a member of 'Keenagers', a senior group of the Salvation Army. She prided herself on her gardening and her entire life revolved around her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
She is survived by two daughters, Carol Don Wodolan and Thelma David Laug of Mansfield; son, James Susan Garrison of Mansfield; five grandchildren, Sandra Tim Gleason of Butler, Katrina Aaron Martin of Mansfield, Scott Kellie Laug of Shelby, Sara Aron Wise of Mansfield and Emily Matthew Seymour of Columbus; three sisters, Alberta Lewis of Watsonville, Cal., Anna Pilo of Mansfield, and Norma Jean Flowers of Shelby; ten great-grandchildren, Hannah, Abigail, Elizabeth and Lydia Laug, Patience, Hope and Jacob Martin, and Taylor, Alivia and Amelia Wise; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 50 years, James; son, Francis Garrison; daughter, Nora Garrison; grandson, Christopher Wodolan; parents, Martin and Anna Wynn; three sisters, Catherine Young, Esther Lambeth and Thelma Wynn; and three brothers, Daniel, Arthur and James Wynn.
Graveside services will be held Wednesday, December 8 at 2:30 p.m. at Mansfield Cemetery, officiated by Rector Emeritus David S. Sipes. Family and close friends may call one hour prior to the service at the Diamond Street Home of Wappner Funeral Directors. Memorial contributions may be made to Akron Children's Hospital or Crossroads Community Church Building Fund.
