Norma Ruth McLaughlin Wentz, 78, of Mansfield, died Sunday February 2, 2003 at Winchester Terrace Nursing Center, following an extended illness. Mrs. Wentz was born April 12, 1924 in Mansfield, being a life long resident. Her family was instrumental in early settlement of Mansfield. Mrs. Wentz was a member of St. Peters Catholic Church, American Legion Post #16, and of the Women's Auxiliary. Norma was a loving homemaker and loved her kitties.
Surviving are her husband of 35 years, Robert Wentz; and one daughter and son-in-law, Pamela Christie and Gene Evans of Columbus. She was preceded in death by her parents, Barney and Rose McLaughlin.
Friends may call at the Diamond Street Home of Wappner Funeral Directors one-hour prior to a 1:00 p.m. service, which will be held on Wednesday, February 5, 2003 conducted by St. Peters Catholic Church. Burial will be in Mansfield Catholic Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Angel Refuge Pet Cemetery and Crematory Inc. 2767 Park Ave. W. Mansfield, OH 44906.
