

Norma C. Wade 'Little Dude', 71, of Mansfield, died Sunday morning, February 1, 2004, at her home after an extended illness. She was born March 27, 1932, in Mansfield to Ezra and Helen Remy Scott. Norma was formerly employed for 23 years at Mansfield Tire and Rubber and retired from Richland Bank after 18 years of service. Norma was a caring, giving and loving wife, mother, and grandmother, devoting her life to her family. She cherished her children who consider her the best mother in the world. She loved bowling-and was known as 'Clipper' by her friends, crossword puzzles, pet cockatiel, 'Pretty' and dogs, 'Nicky', 'Tawny' and 'Booky'.
She is survived by her husband of 29 years, Larry Wade; son and daughter-in-law, Scott and Kathy Ryan of Mansfield; two daughters and sons-in-law, Stephanie and Ralph Peckham and Lisa and James Gorrell, all of Mansfield; sister and brother-in-law, Nancy and Carl Hartman of Mansfield; grandsons, Trevor Gorrell, Jeremy Gorrell, Kyle Gorrell, and John Symsick; great-grandsons, Taylor Gorrell, and Rylee Gorrell; stepsons and daughters-in-law, Larry and Sue Wade, Scott and Shawn Wade, all of Mansfield; stepdaughters, Rita Ann Wade of Crestline, Sheila and Jerry Myers of Mansfield; and several step-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, Ezra and Helen Scott, sister, Barbara, great-granddaughter, Alivea, brother-in-law, Dave King, sister-in-law, Joann Taylor, and nephew, Bruce Bushnell.
Friends may call at the Diamond Street Home of Wappner Funeral Directors, Wednesday from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Funeral services will be held Thursday at 10:30 a.m. at the funeral home. Burial will follow in Mansfield Memorial Park.
