Born May 16, 1929, in Olive Hill, Kentucky, Omega “Mag” Cole, 96 of Ashland, Ohio (previously of Mansfield) was called home to be with the Lord, Saturday, January 17, 2026, leaving behind a legacy of love, faith and family that spans generations.
She was a devoted and loving wife, mother, grandma, great-grandma, and great-great-grandma, whose life was marked by kindness, selflessness and unwavering devotion to those she loved.
Omega was a devout Christian who loved the Lord with all her heart. Her faith was the foundation of her life, guiding her words, her actions and her relationships. She lived her beliefs daily, offering grace, prayer and encouragement to all who knew her. She looked forward with joy and peace for the day she would go home to be with her Savior. She was a long-time member of the Hanna Road Church of God.
She shared 68 beautiful years of marriage with her beloved husband, Willard Cole. Willard was truly the love of her life, and their marriage was a testament to commitment, partnership and enduring love. Even after his passing, Omega’s heart remained with him, and she often spoke of the joy she felt knowing they would be reunited. She could not wait to go home to be with the Lord and with Willard once again.
Omega’s greatest joy was her family. She cherished every generation and took pride in the legacy of love that continued to grow through her children and descendants. Her warmth, wisdom and gentle spirit will be deeply missed, but forever remembered.
Surviving are her children, Barbara (Doug) Sand of Oregon, Linda King, Edwin (Patti) Cole, and Michael Cole, all of Mansfield; as well as several grandchildren, numerous great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.
Omega was preceded in death by her husband, Willard Cole; son, Raymond Cole and infant son, Donald Cole; daughter-in-law, Susan Cole; son-in-law, Richard King; grandson, Davitt Hammer; and special sister, Mary Beecham.
Though she is no longer with us in body, Omega’s faith, love and example will live on in the hearts of all who were blessed to know and love her. She has heard the words she longed for: “Well done, good and faithful servant.”
She will be dearly missed from life here on earth, but her family rejoices in knowing they will one day see her again.
