Patsy Frye

Patsy L. Frye, 87, of Mansfield, died Sunday afternoon, October 19, 2014 at OhioHealth MedCentral Mansfield Hospital. She was born April 29, 1927, in Perrysville, Ohio, to the late Jennie Mae (Aber) and Herbert William McKown.

Patsy worked for Stevens Manufacturing for 19 years. Blessed with a wonderful sense of humor, she enjoyed time spent with her family and spoiling her grandchildren. In her spare time, she could be found playing solitaire or reading, while drinking her favorite beverage, coffee.

She is survived by a daughter, Rose Ann Gonzales of Mansfield; two grandchildren, Tony Von Haase of Columbus and Tara Gonzales of Mansfield; three great-grandchildren, Mariqua Fraley, Tyrain Clemons and Chelsea Hall; two sisters, Alene Cameron of Ashland and Phyllis (Dave) Eral of CA; a brother, Gerald (Alma) McKown of Ontario; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Dale E. Frye; son, Richard Dwayne Gonzales; two brothers, Clarence McKown and Max McKown; and sister, J. Rose Gossett.

A memorial service celebrating Patsy's life will be held Tuesday, October 28, 2014 at 2:00 p.m. in the Diamond Street Home of Wappner Funeral Directors, 98 S. Diamond St., Mansfield. Pastor Barry Lawrence of Mount Calvary Baptist Church will conduct the service. The family will receive friends from 1:00 p.m. until the time of the service.
