Paul Stahl

Paul M. Stahl, 95, of Mansfield, died July 11, 2003 at Oak Grove Manor following an extended illness. Paul went to be with his Lord Friday night. Mr. Stahl was born June 18, 1908 in Altoona, Pennsylvania residing in the Mansfield area for 36 years. He retired from Westinghouse Electric Corp. after 42 years. Mr. Stahl was a member of Westwood Alliance Church. Paul and his wife were very active in church life. Following his retirement they traveled to Africa for a missionary project and celebrated their 50th Anniversary there.

Surviving are his wife, Thelma E. Isenberg Stahl of Mansfield; three daughters and two sons-in-law, Phyllis Byers-Hetland of Burnsville, Minnesota; Faye and Donald Harris of Mansfield and Barbara and Gerald Downs of Shelby. Grandchildren and their spouses, Anne Byers of Edina, Minnesota; Stephen and Deborah Mathieu-Byers of New York, New York; Kevin and Cynthia Trem of Akron, Ohio; Bobbi Wigton of Akron, Ohio; Valeri and James Hairston; Laurie and Robert Barley and Wendi and Michael Oswalt all of Mansfield; Kristina and Larry Smith of Highlands Ranch, Colorado; Paul and Elaine Brown of Shelby; and Tim Brown of Mansfield; step grandchildren and their spouses, Carolyn and Dan LaFever of Denver, Colorado; Anne Papandrea of Vernon Hills, Illinois; Jane and Randall McGregor of St. Paul, Minnesota; Linda and Dan Krizan of Mansfield; and Bryan and Dianna Downs of Shelby; 22 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, John F. and Anna L. Stahl; two brothers, Franklin and John Stahl; one sister, Dorothy Hammel; son-in-law Paul Hetland; step grandson, David Hetland; and one great-granddaughter, Sarah Wigton.

Friends may call at the Ontario Home of Wappner Funeral Directors one and a half hours prior to funeral services, which will be held on Tuesday July 15, 2003 at 2:00 p.m. conducted by the Rev.
