Phyllis C. Edwards, 68, of Mansfield, died Monday, December 7, 2015 at OhioHealth, MedCentral, Mansfield. Born May 13, 1947 in Mansfield, Ohio, she was the daughter of Elliott Porter, Sr. and Bettyjane (Robinson) Porter.
She had worked in Home Health Care and was a great cook. She truly enjoyed spending time with her family especially her grandchildren.
She is survived by her husband of 50 years, Robert Edwards, Sr. whom she married June 11, 1965; three children, Angela (Eric) Hill of North Carolina, Melissa (Shannon) Dillard Mosley of Shelby and Robert (Amber) Edwards, Jr. of Trinity, North Carolina; ten grandchildren, Zachary Dillard, Brandon Hill, Cici Dillard, Cierra Hill, Lacey Mabry, Kendal Edwards, Nate Edwards, James Thompson, Destiny Thompson and Jacob Edwards; a great granddaughter on the way, Madilynn Dillard; two brothers, Elliott Porter, Sr. of Mansfield and Charles Porter of Medina, Ohio; many nieces and nephews; and a close friend, Teri Merle.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, John Porter and a close friend, Barbara Murray.
