Randy B. Rice, 51, of Mansfield, died Monday evening, July 30, 2007 at MedCentral Mansfield Hospital. Born September 11, 1955 in Mansfield, he was the son of Calvin C. and Thelma Henderson Rice. Randy was employed as a plasterer with J & B Acoustical and Cleveland Construction. He enjoyed fishing and gardening.
Survivors include his children, Brook Jarrod Hardin, Amber Mark Osborne, all of Mansfield, Jason Shannon Ward of Columbus, Nicole Hammond of Mansfield; six grandchildren; his father, Calvin Rice; two brothers, Marty Brenda Rice, Fred Rice, all of Mansfield; sister, Tabbie Kenny Berry of Mansfield; and several nieces and nephews. Preceding him in death were his mother, Thelma Rice, nephew, Michael Berry, and former wife, Jennifer Hamilton.
Friends may call Thursday, August 2 from 5-7 p.m. at the Diamond Street Home of Wappner Funeral Directors. Additional calling hours will be held one hour prior to the funeral service Friday at 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home, conducted by Pastor Mike Wilson. Private family burial will be at a later date in Oak Grove Memorial Park. Memorial contributions may be made to the family.
