
Reaber Lona Blankenship Plaster Vance, 90, of Mansfield, died Thursday, April 18, 2008 at Triumph Hospital. Born June 21, 1917 in Buckhannon, Virginia, she was the daughter of Charlie and Frances Owens Blankenship. Reaber was a member of Laver Rd. Freewill Baptist Church. She loved to shop and while she was in Virginia, she enjoyed canning. Reaber loved her family and friends, and especially loved spending time with her grandchildren.
She is survived by daughter, JoAnn Reedy of Mansfield; son, Dallas Plaster of Shelby; three stepchildren, Bonnie Gardner Bailey of Tennessee, Patsy Vance, and Joan Vance, both of Virginia; six grandchildren, Judy Johnson Grassel, Sharon Johnson Hindes, Lester Johnson, Jr., Bradley Johnson, Doug Plaster, and Greg Plaster; four great-grandchildren, Christopher and Nolan Hindes, and Samantha and Dustin Scott; two great-great-grandchildren, Austin Scott and Jayden Winter; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; first husband, Blake C. Plaster; second husband, Lacy Vance; one great-grandson, Brandon Scott; brothers, Adam, Lawson, McKinley, and Edward Blankenship; sisters, Dolly Cominsky, Bernadine Dye, Kaye Haley Pruett-Smith.
Friends may call from 6 to 9 p.m. Monday, April 21, 2008 at the Ontario Home of Wappner Funeral Directors. Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home conducted by Rev. Mark Bailey. Burial will follow in Mansfield Memorial Park.
