Rebecca Smith

Rebecca "Becky" Smith, 57, of Loudonville, died Tuesday, March 4, 2014 at Samaritan Regional Health Systems. She was born November 4, 1956 in Mansfield. Becky loved listening to music, looking at bright lights, and be near familiar voices. Though disabled from birth, she lived a full and happy life with her family.

A special thanks to her family at JAC LIN Manor, where they loved Becky like she was one of their own, and also to the ICU at Samaritan Hospital doctors and nurses for their care.

She is survived by her sisters, Rita (Dave) Byerly, Dianna See, and Kathleen Cantrill; nieces and nephews, William Hall, Jeanette Powers, James See, Jr., Jerry See, Krista Fairchild, Tyrone Cantrill, Ashawnti Cantrill, Tysheri Cantrill and Chakara Cantrill; and numerous great nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Laura Jean (Wade) Smith, nephew, Gene Hall, sister, Loretta Jean Smith, and grandparents, Obediah and Flossie Wade.

Funeral services will be held Monday, March 10, 2014 at 3:00 p.m. at the Diamond St. Home of Wappner Funeral Directors, 98 S. Diamond St., Mansfield. Friends may call one hour prior to the service from 2:00-3:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be held at Mansfield Cemetery at a later date.
