Reinhold Burbach

Reinhold Burbach, 65, of Winter Garden, Florida, passed away Thursday, August 4, 2016 at OhioHealth Mansfield Hospital. He was born in Kronach, Germany, on February 17, 1951 to Philipp Burbach and Maria (Kreilach) Burbach.

Reinhold began his long, exciting journey to the United States on his first birthday, learning to walk while on the boat. Once he arrived in America, his family settled in Mansfield, Ohio, where he grew up and graduated from Mansfield Sr. High School. After graduating, Reinhold furthered his education at The Ohio State University where he received a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science. While attending The Ohio State University, Reinhold met his future wife of 37 years, Deborah "Debbie" Boerger.

Reinhold worked for Darden Restaurants for a total of 39 years, moving with the company to Orlando, Florida in 1985. He was an integral part of the IT team. He enjoyed not only working for Darden Restaurants, but also dining at their many restaurants. He and his wife loved to travel and explored the United States from Maine to California and Canada while following Bob Dylan on his concert tours. They also enjoyed many concerts at Epcot while living in Florida. Reinhold will be missed dearly by all his family and friends.

Reinhold is survived by his wife, Deborah "Debbie" Burbach; siblings, Linda (Kenneth) Westfield, Rosemarie Lindhout, and Walter Burbach; brother-in-law and sisters-in-law, Karen (Vic) Turk, Patricia (Jerry) Jawyn, Susan (Kim) Calvo, Dorothy Joseph, and William (Sharon) Boerger; nieces and nephews, Kendra Newland, Christina and Sabrina Lindhout, Ken and Steve Westfield, Kathy Koester, Jim Turk, MaryEllen Borchers, Barbara Turk, Natalie Jawyn Barissi, Rebecca Calvo, Shane, Paul, and Jonathan Joseph; and numerous great-nieces and nephews.

Reinhold is preceded in death by his parents, Philipp and Maria (Kreilach) Burbach; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Paul and Rose-Ann Boerger; brother-in-law, Alfred Joseph; and nieces, Deborah Joseph, and Susan Turk.

Visitation for Reinhold will be Monday, August 8, 2016 from 6:00-8:00 pm at the Diamond Street Home of Wappner Funeral Directors, 98 S. Diamond St., Mansfield. The funeral service will be held Tuesday, August 9, 2016 at 11:00 am at Holy Trinity Lutheran Church, 525 W. Cook Road, Mansfield, with Rev. Dr. Pentti Maki officiating. Burial will follow at a later date in Mansfield Cemetery.
