Richard is preceded in death by his parents Clarence (Al) and Mary, as well as his son, Jeremy.
Richard leaves behind a large family.
His “Baby Duck”(wife) of 44 years, Diane.
His son Chad, whom he offered for adoption to anyone until he married Athena, and gave him three Grandchildren: Nicholas, Aiden, and Kesley.
His daughter, Jenifer, who armed with his quick wit and fear of snakes, moved to the big city, married her high school sweetheart Nicholas Baker, and gave him Cordelia, Maeve, and Roscoe to make it a cool half dozen grandkids.
His Big Sister, Shirley, who once used a wheelbarrow to take a young Richard to the bottom of a ravine and her husband Jesse.
His little / big sister Pat, who still claims ownership of a disputed childhood BB Gun.
He also leaves behind 40 ish Phenomenal Nieces and Nephews.
Richard loved fishing, even if he only caught a cold, chasing golf balls into the rough, baking bread for everyone, and watching his beloved Indians and Browns. He always held out hope to see the Browns win another championship, but at least he never found out Joe Thomas retired. He spent 42 years as a dedicated member of churches where he served in pastoral roles, mentoring singles, using his bread for fundraisers, and visiting with elderly members of the community in several nursing homes. We could go on, but just trust us, Richard lived the fullest life he could.
