
Richard "Dick" A. Fenton, 67, of Mansfield died Thursday, December 2, 2010 at MedCentral Mansfield. Born January 13, 1943 in Mansfield, he was the son of John Fenton and Viola Hoffman Casler. He was a member of Shelby Maranatha Bible Baptist Church and retired from Peabody Barnes where he worked as a truck driver. Dick was a good man with a good sense of humor and everyone enjoyed being around him. He deeply loved spending time with his family including his dog, JoJo. He liked to be outdoors visiting with neighbors and ensuring that his lawn was perfect. In his spare time, Dick liked to watch WWE Wrestling.
He is survived by his wife of 16 years, Diana Ernsberger Fenton; children, Rhonda Mike Lamp and Missy Bruce Smith; stepchildren, William Bradford III and Christina Jeremy Jarvis; 10 grandchildren; sister, Dorothy Frietchen of Florida; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, James Fenton and grandson, Frank Lamp, II.
A memorial service will be held Monday, December 6, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. at the Shelby Marantha Bible Baptist Church, 2179 Taylortown Rd, Shelby, conducted by Pastor William Lamb. Wappner Funeral Directors is privileged to serve the family of Dick Fenton.
