Rick was a free spirit that approached everything in his life with exuberance. He never met a challenge that he couldn't tackle. Rick had a passion for the outdoors, spending time riding ATVs, dirt bikes, and anything else with wheels and a motor.
Rick's son, Richard Jacob, was his pride and joy. He was very proud of the young man that he is growing up to be. He adored watching him play baseball in the Spring. Rick was a carpenter for over 20 years. He took pride in the craft and he worked on many large construction projects. He was a member of Carpenter's Local #735 in Mansfield. He worked the past two years as a General Construction Superintendent in Cleveland. In 2007, he was the recipient of a Builder's Exchange Craftsman Award, one of his greatest accomplishments.
Surviving are his fiancee, Christine Myers of Nova; mother, Davia Itschner of Nova; son, Richard Jacob Itschner of Ashland; sister, Elizabeth (Jason) Edwards of Loudonville; brother, Michael (Ann) Itschner of Loudonville; and nieces and nephews, Michael, Jennifer, Natasha, Julie, and Corey.
Rick was preceded in death by his father, Richard C. Itschner.
