Richard Myers

Richard G. Myers, 58, of Mansfield, died unexpectedly Friday, March 30, 2007 at his home. Born October 2, 1948, in Shreve, he was the son of Doyle Myers and Ruth Miller Arnholt Myers. As a member of Mansfield Baptist Temple, he loved working with the staff at the church. Mr. Myers was employed by Perfection and later by Wonder Gardens Florist and Greenhouse. He most recently assisted his wife, Janet, with her business, Janet's Floral Design. He had a servant's heart and found great joy in helping his family and brothers and sisters in Christ.

He is survived by his wife, Janet Roston Myers; daughter, Judy K. Myers of Mansfield; two sons and daughters-in-law, Richard and Jenifer Myers of Canton, GA and Paul and April Myers of Cleveland, TN; nine grandchildren, Tommy, Daniel, Joshua, Caleb, and Sharaya Myers of Canton, GA, MacKenzie, Megan, Meadow, and Micah Myers of Cleveland, TN; parents, Doyle and Ruth Myers of FL; sister and brother-in-law, Janice and Dee Wilson of Huron; and two brothers and sisters-in-law, David and Rose Myers and Harold and Pat Myers of Lexington. Preceding him in death was his father, Eugene Arnholt.

Friends may call Monday, April 2 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. at Mansfield Baptist Temple. Funeral services will be Tuesday at 10:30 a.m. at the church, conducted by Rev. Dale Adkins.
