Richard "Rick" Frederick, 56, of Mansfield died March 27, 2014. Born April 18, 1957 in Mansfield, he was the son of Anthony and Nora Frederick. Rick grew up in Lucas and graduated Lucas High School in 1975. He retired from the Navy after 20 years of service, and then went on to earn his business degree from The University of Phoenix. Rick was a very kind, caring, and understanding man. In his free time, he loved to bowl. He played for years, and even worked at a bowling alley when he was younger. Rick was an avid Cleveland Indians fan. He loved his cats, Sweetums, Dash, and Buddy.
Surviving are his fiancée and longtime companion, Sherry Jennings; daughter, Gabrielle Frederick; step-daughter, Vanessa Jennings; Aunt Marie Frederick; and special friend and "big brother", Michael Walsh.
Rick was preceded in death by his parents.
There will be no services at this time. The Diamond Street Home of Wappner Funeral Directors is privileged to serve the family of Richard Frederick.
