

Rev. Robert L. Caldwell, 71, of Loudonville, passed away Saturday, March 8, 2014 at Wooster Community Hospital. Robert fought a good fight and kept his faith to the end. He is now at peace in the arms of the Lord. He was born October 11, 1942 in Catlettsburg, Kentucky, to the late Robert M. and LaVonna (Middleton) Caldwell. He pastored at Holmesville Church of God, then transferred to Mansfield at Church of God on Park Avenue East, then to Millersburg Church of God. Robert was a member of Stewart Road Church of God where he was currently serving as an elder. He truly loved people and this showed through his many ministries.
He enjoyed NHRA drag racing and racing cars and motorcycles, and was a fan of racing in general. His great-grandson, Hunter, brought sunshine in the darkest hours and was adored by Robert.
He is survived by his wife, Sandra Caldwell; a daughter, Barb (Wendell) White of Ashland, KY; three grandchildren, Bobby Caldwell (Brittney LaRocca) of Holmesville; Brandon White and Cody White, both of Ashland, KY; his great-grandson, Hunter Caldwell; a sister, Bonnie (James) Murray of Raceland, KY; a sister-in-law, Patricia (Ron) Adkins of Manassas, VA; a brother-in-law, James (Teddi) Caldwell of Flatwoods, KY; and many nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Mike Caldwell; and a sister, Donna Barker.
The family will receive friends from 5-8 p.m. Wednesday, March 12, 2014 in the Stewart Rd. Church of God, 1452 N. Stewart Rd. The funeral service will be held Thursday at 11:00 a.m. in the church with Pastor Samuel Wright officiating. Burial will follow in Loudonville Cemetery.
