Robert Grassick

Robert W. Grassick, 74, of Mansfield, died Wednesday, October 12, 2011 at his home. Born November 14, 1936 in Mansfield, he was the son of Robert Marks and Dorothy Elizabeth (Chapman) Grassick. Robert lived in Mansfield all his life and attended Mansfield Senior High School. He served in the U.S. Army and was stationed at Fort Knox, KY. Robert retired from Taylor Metal Products as a supervisor after 52 ½ years of service. In his free time, he enjoyed boating and wood working.

He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Judy Grassick of Mansfield; son, Robert (Karen) Grassick of Ontario; daughter, Renee (Randy) Mehl of Ontario; grandsons, Aron (Marendy), Dustin, and Austen Conwell, and Robert Grassick and granddaughter, Amber Grassick, all of Ontario; great grandchildren, Star and Gavin Conwell; step grandchildren, Lori and Matt Mehl of Shelby; two step great grandchildren, Divina and Breann; and his beloved dog, Kasey. Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers David and Ken Grassick.

There will be no calling hours held. Military graveside services will be held in Mansfield Memorial Park at a later date. Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of North Central Ohio. Wappner Funeral Directors is privileged to serve the family of Robert W. Grassick.
