

He was a veteran of the U.S. Army serving in the Korean War. Always a jokester, Bob enjoyed making everyone around him laugh. He loved deeply and cherished his family. They enjoyed his storytelling and were always willing to eat his delicious cookies and cinnamon rolls. Bob was a nature lover and was right at home fishing, boating and camping. He enjoyed visiting garage sales and taking spur of the moment road trips.
He is survived by his wife, Eileen (Brooks) Linton; daughters, Heather Linton, Bridgette Linton and Roberta Linton; two sisters, Beverly and Shirley; and three brothers, Jess, Fritz and Gary; close nephews, Ronny Bender and Nevada (Mariann) Collmar; numerous nieces and nephews; great-nieces and nephews, Chaz and Chasiti Smith, and Nevada Jr. and Roxann Collmar; and his faithful canine companion, Sally Jo. He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Larry "Butch" Collmar.
A Gathering of family and friends will be held from 1-4 p.m., Friday, May 8, 2015, at Wappner Cremation Center, 1327 Ashland Road, Mansfield. Memorial contributions may be made to the Wounded Warrior Project.
