Robert Magers

Robert J. "Bob" Magers, 76, went to be with the Lord March 19, 2010 at Mill Creek Nursing Home in Galion, Ohio. He was the son of Ross J. and Aurice Winterringer Magers. He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Ralph, Richard; sister, Mildred Magers; wife, Phyllis Gullet Magers; and son-in-law, Donald Albany. He is survived by his wife, Christine of Ontario, Ohio; four children, Marcia Albany of Fort Wayne, Indiana, Jerry and wife, Cheryl of Richlands, North Carolina, Kurt and wife, Cathy of Mansfield, Ohio, Richard and wife, Brenda of Louisville, Kentucky; eight grandchildren, Ryan Carmen Albany, Jeremi Magers, Tricia Bill Marshburn, Beth Albany, Megan Magers, Abby Albany, Jessica Magers and Ryan Willey; four great grandchildren, Meredith Magers, Carly Marshburn, Gage Cyrus and Elena Albany.

Bob was retired from General Motors in Ontario and was a devoted member of the Woodville Grace Brethren Church.

Funeral services will be conducted at 3:00 p.m., Sunday, March 21, 2010 with visitation beginning at 2:00 p.m. at Woodville Grace Brethren Church with Pastor Ron Small and Pastor Gene Witzky officiating. Private family burial will be in Mount Vernon Memorial Gardens Sunday at 5:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations are made to the National Kidney Foundation.
