Robert D. Sells, 76, of 1187 Lucas Road died Tuesday evening, May 29, 2001 at O.S.U. James Cancer Center, Columbus, Ohio. Mr. Sells was born January 3, 1925 in Walhounding, Ohio living in the Mansfield area since 1955. He retired from Ohio Brass. Mr. Sells enjoyed playing cards and working outside. He was a veteran of WWII serving in the Army Air Force.
He is survived by a sister, Myrtle Bowman of Mansfield; numerous nieces and nephews; a stepdaughter, Margaret Lewis of Tifton, Georgia; and a number of stepgrandchildren and step great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, Hick & Mary Snyder Sells; his wife, Mary Sells; a brother, Lawrence Smith; and three sisters, Florence Huffman, Eupha Purdy, and Sylvia Nave.
Friends may call at the Ontario Home of Wappner Funeral Directors Friday from 2-4 & 6-9 p.m. Funeral services will be held Saturday at 1:00 p.m. at the funeral home conducted by Rev. Lowell Carroll.
