Robert L. 'Rob' Sweeney, 47, of Mansfield, passed away May 20, 2011 in Mansfield. Born May 30, 1963 in Williamson, WV, he was the son of Bobby and Lena Pearl McCoy Sweeney. Rob had worked for 15 years as a millwright with Mansfield Foundary/Citation. He enjoyed playing golf, especially at Coolridge Golf Course and playing darts. Rob was good with electronics, especially building computers. Rob was a handsome man known for his beautiful blue eyes who had a big heart and a generous nature. He loved spending time with his family at cookouts and gatherings, but especially at Christmas, which was his favorite time of year.
He is survived by his daughter, Ashlee Sweeney of Mansfield; sister, Teresa Sweeney of Lucas; Michael Sweeney of Mansfield; niece, Brittany Sweeney of Mansfield; nephew, Blake Buchanan of Mansfield; and the mother of his only child, Sarah Dowdy Sweeney of Mansfield. He was preceded in death by his parents.
