Roger Young

Roger A. Young, 53, of Mansfield died unexpectedly Friday morning, November 2, 2001 at MedCentral Mansfield Hospital. Mr. Young was born March 3, 1948, in Mansfield to Harold F. and Freda H. Tucker Young. He was a 1966 graduate of Lucas High School, enjoyed fishing, and was an avid deer hunter. Roger served with the US Army during the Vietnam Conflict.

He is survived by his wife whom he married November 17, 2000, Becky A. Pfenniger Bennett Young; mother, Freda H. Tucker Young of Mansfield; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Richard & Carol Young of Texas and Randy Young & Pat Lewis of Mansfield; one sister and brother-in-law, Sharilyn R. & Jeffrey Obermyer of Canton, Ohio; three nephews, Nathan, Michael and Matthew Young of Texas; two aunts; two uncles; one step-daughter and son-in-law, Melissa & Chris Polak of Mansfield; three step-sons, Vincent B. & fiancée M.J. Bennett of West Farmington, Ohio, Michael and Kevin Bennett both of Mansfield; three step-grandchildren, Brandon, Christopher and Tyler Polak; and in-laws, Ernest F. & Betty Pfenniger of Burton, Ohio. He was preceded in death by his father, Harold Young in 1994.

There will be no services or calling hours. Wappner Funeral Directors assisted the family with arrangements. Memorial contributions may be made in care of the family at 231 Blymyer Ave., Mansfield, Ohio, 44903.
