Ronnie Thomas

Ronnie L. Thomas, 52, of Mansfield, died Saturday, August 29, 2009 at MedCentral Mansfield Hospital. He was born March 3, 1957 in Mansfield to Leroy and Jean Price Thomas. He had worked for 32 years in the maintenance department at Pioneer Career and Technology center. Ronnie had a strong sense of family and was a wonderful husband and father. His faith in God and acceptance of Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior was key in his life. He enjoyed traveling and the outdoors. His sense of humor and helpfulness will be missed by all.

Surviving are his wife of 32 years, Vicki Thomas; two daughters Ashley and Lindsey Thomas of Mansfield; his mother, Jean Price Thomas of Mansfield; Four sisters, Linda Mobley of Urbana, Ohio, Regina Lowell Hunter of Mansfield, Mary Albert Hockley of Bellefontaine and Beverly "Joanie" Mike Baker of Mansfield; close extended family, Frances Berger, Mariam Penney, Evalene Thomas all of Mansfield and Wayne Price of Kentucky; several nieces and nephews and a host of other relatives, dear friends , colleagues and Pioneer family. Ronnie was preceded in death by his father, Leroy Thomas; maternal grandparents, Earl Price and Shirley Price Fitch and paternal grandparents, Arthur and Stella Thomas.

Friends may call from 2-4 and 6-8 pm on Tuesday, September 1, 2009, at the Ontario home of Wappner Funeral Directors. Services will be held at 10:00 am Wednesday, September 2, 2009, at the funeral home conducted by family friend Rev. Floyd Skaggs and Ronnie's cousin Rev. Gale Price. Burial will be in Franklin Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the Richland County Humane Society, Mohican State Park, Faith United Methodist Church or Hannah Road Church of God.
