A long time resident of Southington, Rose was born September 26, 1944 in Warren, Ohio, and was the daughter of the late Frank Kolovich of Newton Falls. Having worked since she was sixteen, including twenty-five years with General Motors, Rose enjoyed her retirement years attending classes at Kent State, spending time with her grandchildren, and volunteering. An avid crafter, she used her sewing skills to make quilts and baby caps for Blankets of Love and Project Linus, and her love of animals led her to volunteer at the Menagerie Thrift Store for the humane society.
Hers was a life well lived and will be celebrated and remembered by her two children, Travis (Dawn) Wilcox of Mansfield, Ohio, and Lynnette (Mark) Burge of Montgomery, Alabama. She is also survived by five grandchildren: Andrew Burge, Ryan Burge, Madysen Wilcox, Alyvia Wilcox, and Abygale Wilcox.
The family would like to thank the caregivers and residents of Lexington Court Care of Mansfield, Ohio for their service and friendship to their mother while she was a resident.
A private service will be held preceding burial at Newton Falls Cemetery West Side. In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be made to the Animal Welfare League of Trumbull County.
The Diamond Street Home of Wappner Funeral Directors is honored to serve the family of Rose Ann Wilcox.
