

Russell E. 'Red' Yerian, 68 of Mansfield, died unexpectedly Wednesday February 16, 2005 at home. Born March 9, 1936 in Mansfield, he was the son of Charles Yerian and Oleeta McClurg Dunlap. He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Ashland, where he was baptized. Mr. Yerian retired from Imperial Drywall after 35 years of service. An avid sports fan, he especially enjoyed fishing and hunting. What a hunting and fishing story he could tell!
He is survived by his mother, Oleeta Dunlap of Mansfield; three sisters and brothers-in-law, Barbara and Gaylin Anderson of Paola, Kansas, Brenda and Rev. Charles Rainwater of Elk, Washington, and Andrea and Rev. Melvin Schroeder of Mansfield; brother and sister-in-law, Rev. John and Lou Ann Owens of San Francisco, California; friend, Linda Burrows of Mansfield; five nephews; four nieces; and numerous great nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father, Charles Yerian, and brother-in-law, Lowell Morrow.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday February 23, 2005 at the Ontario Home of Wappner Funeral Directors with Pastor Rev. John Owens, Jr., Mr. Yerian's brother of San Francisco's Open Bible Church. Friends may call one hour prior to the service, from 12 to 1 p.m., at the funeral home. Burial will follow in Mansfield Memorial Park, conducted by Rev. Melvin Schroeder. Memorial contributions may be made to the First Baptist Church of Ashland.
