Ruth L. Jordan, 86, of Mansfield, died Wednesday, April 16, 2008 at her home. Born October 24, 1921 in Olive Hill, Kentucky, she was the daughter of Charles and Eliza Tackett Swinford. She retired from Winchester Terrace Nursing Home as an LPN. Ruth was a member of Stewart Road Church of God.
She is survived by one daughter, Patricia Elliott of Mansfield; three sons, Kenneth R. Ingrid Jordan of Bellville, Gary E. Marguerite Jordan of Texas, and James M. Dixie Jordan of Alaska; 18 grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; sister, June Oyler of Cleveland; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth G. Jordan; her parents; son Rickey A. Jordan; two sisters, Hazel Kennedy and Cathleen Stone; and one brother.
Friends may call from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, April 18, 2008 at the Stewart Road Church of God. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at the church conducted by Dr. Ronald e. Beady. Burial will follow in Mansfield Memorial Park. Wappner Funeral Directors assisted the family with arrangements.
