Ruth Imogene Snyder, 79, of Mansfield, died Thursday, September 27, 2007 at MedCentral Mansfield Hospital. Born September 18, 1928 in Kenova, West Virginia, she was the daughter of David and Bessie Pelfrey Blanton. Ruth was a member of Mansfield Baptist Temple where she taught Sunday school for 20 years.
She is survived by her husband, George Snyder; two daughters and sons-in-law, Brenda and Jim Wynn of Mansfield, Pam and Steve Hertzler of WV; two grandchildren, Miranda Jason Miller and Justin Hertzler, all of Lancaster; brother, David Blanton of Murphy, NC; sister, Ruby Carver of NC; and numerous nieces and nephews. Preceding her in death was an infant son, Bruce, six sisters, five brothers, and her parents.
Friends may call Sunday, September 30 from 2-4 p.m. at the Diamond Street Home of Wappner Funeral Directors. Funeral services conducted by Dr. Dale Adkins will be held Monday at 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home with additional viewing from 10-11 a.m. Burial will follow in Shauck Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to a charity of the donor's choice.
